A good asset management program consists of systematic and coordinated activities and practices through which an organization optimally manages its assets, performance, risks and expenditure. The asset management system should guide and validate an organization’s activities towards an overall goal of correct asset use.
The PAS 55 assessment management certification program has been designed to enable organizations to demonstrate, by a certification process, that its asset management program is robust. The certification of the AIM program demonstrates to stakeholders and investors that the organization has a method of protecting and maximizing benefits from its assets and investment.
SGS Industrial Services provides “PAS 55 - Specification for the Optimized Management of Physical Infrastructure Assets” certification services, which usually consist of:
- Pre-assessment visit with recommendations
- Assessment visit
- Re-assessment visits on an annual basis
The on-site assessment determines compliance against your documented system and PAS 55. All assessment conclusions are based on sampling of audit evidence, to demonstrate effective implementation of the management system, control over the processes and progress made towards achieving your stated objectives.
Our experienced auditors will work with you to identify areas that are not conforming to support opportunities for improvement. After the successful audit, clients will receive a ´PAS 55 - Specification for the Optimized Management of Physical Infrastructure Asset Certificate as proof that they have a method of protecting and maximizing benefits for their assets and investment. Once issued, certificates are only valid subject to satisfactory maintenance of our clients‘ asset management system. Ongoing audits are conducted either six monthly or annually to verify continued implementation of clients‘ PAS 55 asset management system in accordance with the specification.
